Yaupon has a pretty wild history, and at one point was one of, if not the most coveted tea in the world. That reputation was well earned, and we're excited to be part of the movement to re-introduce this superfood tea to the world again.
Yaupon tea has gentle caffeine and loaded with antioxidants, making it an ideal beverage for health-conscious individuals. Not only is it impossible to over-steep, but you can re-steep it multiple times without losing flavor or strength.

Fill 1 teaspoon of tea in a cloth tea bag or mesh basket and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes or until desired strength is reached.

This was my first time ordering this tea and I loved it. The aroma it releases as its brewing is very pleasant. It has a nice sweet flavor, and is very light which makes it easy to drink. One cup of this in the morning helps me start my day with the right amount of energy.
I've intentionally stayed away from caffeine for a while now. I was curious about this tea because of its origin to America, but had second thoughts after seeing it was caffeinated. I asked the company about the caffeine and they shared insight that helped me realize all caffeine is not created equally. So, I tried it and just like the package stated, 'energy without the jitters' and I had no adverse reaction!
